Altoona Book Sale

The Friends of the Altoona Area Public Library will hold its spring used book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday on the ground floor of the library. There are no Sunday hours. Monday is $5-a-bag day. The book sales offer books of all kinds from adult fiction, childrens books, bestsellers to classics, nonfiction, such as travel, art, history, home repair, genealogy, health, science, crafts, language and true crime books. The sale also includes puzzles, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, patterns, games and more. All money raised benefits the library. Sorting books for the sale are (from left): Linda Bistline, Helen Gorsuch, Paula Ford, Catherine Hall and Daisy Costanza.
