TYRONE — Tyrone Regional Health Network/Tyrone Hospital is support-

ing the Center for Organ

Recovery & Education (CORE) through the Hospital CEO Rose Dedication Program.

The Hospital CEO Rose Dedication Program offers hospital CEOs the opportunity to hand-write a rose dedication to be placed on CORE’s Donate Life Float, which will appear in the Rose Parade, also known as Tournament of Roses Parade, traditionally held on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, Calif.

The parade this year has been moved to Monday because of the “Never On a Sunday” rule.

CORE’s participation in the Rose Parade has become a national tradition for the entire donation and transplantation community.

The theme of CORE’s Rose Parade float in 2017 is “Teammates in Life.”

The float depicts a spectacular Polynesian catamaran.

Donors and transplant recipients will be involved in the parade either on or walking alongside the CORE float.

Through the hospital CEO Rose Dedication Program, TRHN is showing support for organ, tissue and eye donation and will be represented at the event, known as “America’s New Year’s Celebration.”
