Tyrone Public Library announces activities
TYRONE – Tyrone-Snyder Public Library, 1000 Pennsylvania Ave., has announced its upcoming events.
Summer Reading Program Closing Ceremony – Kids and teens who completed the summer reading program can have their accomplishments recognized with a certificate, prize and an ice cream social at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Procraftinators Crafting Meetup – Join fellow procrastinating crafters from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Take your own materials/projects. All crafting types and levels of ability are welcome.
Teen Trivia Night – Teenagers can meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 in the community room for trivia, free snacks and prizes.
Club LEGO: Minecraft Edition -?Club LEGO will meet from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 20. Participants will build their favorite Minecraft characters, places and moments in Lego form. This program is free and open to ages 6 to 13, but caregivers must stay in the building while the kids construct.
Exercise Your Mind Adult Summer Reading Program Closing Ceremony -?All summer reading participants are in-
vited to attend the closing ceremony at 6 p.m. Aug. 24. Refreshments, bookworm fellowship and the announcing of the top readers. Register for this event by signing up at the checkout desk or messaging the library on Facebook.
Friends of the Library Fall Rummage Sale – The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 10 in the community room during the Tyrone Community Yard Sale. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library.
Story Hour -?Story Hour will be held Sept. 18 and every Monday through mid-December. Story hour is for ages 3 to 5 and incorporates stories, songs, games, crafts and fun. This free program is open to all children, but caregivers must stay in the building while the child attends the program. To register, contact the library on Facebook or call 684-1133.
Babies Boogie – This song- and dance-themed story time for children ages 18 months to 3 years will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22 and continue every Thursday until mid-December. To sign up, contact the library on Facebook or call 684-1133. Babies Boogie is free, but caregivers must stay with the child for the duration of the program.
