TREVOR PROSSER

Trevor Prosser has successfully completed the requirements to graduate Naval boot camp.

He graduated from Great Lakes training facility on Aug. 22.

He resides in Duncansville with his parents, Jami and Brenda Prosser.

While in training, he received a Sharp Shooter Award.

Prosser is now in Pensacola, Fla., for “A” School.

DESIRE ALBRIGHT

Army Pvt. Desire Albright has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Albright is the daughter of Roger and Bobbi Jo Bauman of Morrisdale.

She is a 2013 graduate of West Branch High School.

DAKOTA KURTZ

Air Force Airman Dakota N. Kurtz graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Kurtz is the son of Jonathan and Debbie Kurtz of Alexandria.

He earned a diploma in 2013 from Juniata Valley High?School, Alexandria.

DEREK T. DINARDO

Derek Thomas Dinardo graduated from the Penn State University on May 9 with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and minor degrees in mathematics, engineering mechanics and military studies.

Dinardo was commissioned as a second lieutenant officer in the U.S. Air Force on May 16. He will begin his Air Force military training as a combat systems officer at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., on Sept. 30.

Dinardo is the son of Joe and Karen Dinardo of Altoona.

He is a 2009 graduate of Altoona Area High School.

SAMUEL O’BRIEN

Air Force Airman Samuel O’Brien graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

O’Brien is the son of Sandra O’Brien of Colver.

He is a 2013 graduate of Central Cambria High School, Ebensburg.

TORI N. ROACH

Air Force Airman Tori N. Roach graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Roach is the daughter of Jeff and Melissa Roach of Northern Cambria.

She is a 2013 graduate of Northern Cambria High School.

TANEA L. LEHMAN-McCLURE

Air Force Airman 1st Class Tanea L. Lehman-McClure graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree.

Lehman-McClure is the daughter of Tracy Neuner of Seward and Thomas Oravecz of Portage.

She is a 2010 graduate of Portage Area High School.

CHRISTOPHER R. LEE

Army Spc. Christopher R. Lee has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

JARED W. HESLOP

Cadet Jared William Heslop, son of Jack and Judy Heslop of Hollidaysburg, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., on May 28.

Heslop is a 2010 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School.

While at West Point, he earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in a double major of international and comparative legal studies and American politics, policy and atrategy with thesis.

Following graduation, Heslop was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Armor branch. He has reported to Fort Benning, Ga., to attend the Armor Basic Officer Leader Course.

Heslop’s permanent duty assignment will be with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

TROY A. SINGER

Army Guard Pfc. John Z. Kirkpatrick has been assigned to 856th Engineer Company, Punxsutawney, as a Reserve Component member.

Kirkpatrick is the son of Timothy and Theresa Kirkpatrick of Reynoldsville.

He is a 2011 graduate of Dubois Area High School. He earned an associate degree in 2013 from Penn State University, DuBois.
