Hollidaysburg library sets events
HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has announced its June events.
Library hours are 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The library has free eBooks available on your
e-reader, PC, IOS or Android device. Download the free app from www.eSebco.
com, go to library.eSebco.

atlanticbb.net. These new eBooks are in addition to those available for the past two years through Overdrive on the library’s webpage www.hollidaysburglibrary.org.
You can now renew books online by creating a free Destiny Quest account using your library card barcode. Go to www.hollidaysburglibrary.org, click on “Catalogs,” select “Hollidaysburg Area Public Library” and then “Create Account.” You can also use your password-protected account to place holds and create reading lists. n Girl Scouts of Western PA membership and community development manager Michele Bridges invites girls in kindergarten and first grade to join the library Girl Scout troop, which meets from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the library. n The Focus on Art Play-group features arts and crafts for parents and children to enjoy together. For more information, call 502-4093.
n The Homeschool Book Club and Homeschool Debate Team meet Wednesday mornings during the school year.

n Signup for the “Fizz, Boom, Read!” Summer Reading Program continues through the end of June. The program runs from the end of June through the beginning of August. Signup sheets and posters are available in the Youth Room and on the library’s Facebook page.
This free seven-week program is open to children from newborn through high school. Information and updates will be posted on the library’s Facebook page, calendar, website and the public access channel.
n The French Connection Summer Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. June 12 at the Clark Street location. The first book is “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas. No signup is needed; books will be available for purchase at the library.

n 2 p.m. Aug. 15 – Grand opening ceremony for the new building.
Reservations are now being accepted for the use of the new library Community Room. Interested groups should call 695-5961 to reserve their preferred date and time.
Due to the changeover to the new library building, programs will be accommodated to the availability of space and staff during the month of June.
