Roaring Spring library sets programs

ROARING SPRING – The Roaring Spring Community Library, 320 E. Main St., has announced its activities for June.

Library and Book Cellar hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Adult programs

Every Wednesday at 6 p.m. – Library Knitting and Crochet Group

10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10 – Get Medicare Answers in Person from Terri, Benefits Consultant, Highmark. Register by calling Highmark at 800-978-6590.

4 to 7 p.m. June 20 – Cove Relay For Life. Stop by the library tent and enjoy activities for all ages, including face painting, book giveaways for children and a Friends of the Library craft.

Youth programs

Register now for the library’s “Fizz , Boom, Read” summer reading program. Due to limited seating, registration is required by calling 224-2994

Ages 3 to 7 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays from June 17 to July 15 with Miss Paula.

Ages 8 to 12 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays from June 17 to July 15 with Miss Samantha Brumbaugh.

Newborn through age 2 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays from June 19 to July 17 with Miss Paula.

“Spark a Reaction” for Tweens and Teens will be held at 1:30 p.m. on the following Mondays:

June 16 and 30 – Creature Teacher Jody Wallace.

June 23 – To be announced.

July 7 – Blair County Dairy Princess.

July 14 – Digital Scavenger Hunt.

No registration is required for Tween and Teen Programs.
