PLEASANT GAP – The YTI Career Institute SkillsUSA team competed at the district competition on Jan. 24 at the Central PA Institute.

n Clayton Davis, Tyrone, Internetworking, first place.

n Tammy Desch, Altoona, medical assisting, first place.

n Katie Scott, Tyrone, medical math, first place.

n Jenny Heatley, Grassflat, medical terminology, first place.

n Amanda Dick, Duncansville; Jennifer Wills, Morrisdale; Kelly Barr, Altoona; and Amber Engle, Altoona; health occupation knowledge bowl, first place.

The following SkillsUSA members advanced to the state competition:
