WISE Women to hold Tribute dinner April 16
WISE Women of Blair County, through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation, announced the annual Tribute to Women honorees.
The 2014 Tribute dinner will be held at 6 p.m. April 16 at The Casino at Lakemont Park,?Altoona.
These women are recognized for their community input and/or involvement in organizations whose projects advance the WISE Women mission to empower women and eliminate racism through collaboration, service and education techniques.
The 2014 honorees are:
Arts &?Letters – Dorothea Nelson, supporter of numerous arts organizations.
Business &?Professional – Patricia W. Savage, president/CEO of Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries.
Community?Service Volunteer -?Helen Rossi, Volunteer Bellwood Antis Community
Education – Karen Harkless Duffett, elementary school counselor, Altoona Area School District.
Nonprofit/Government -?Dawn Morden, co-founder/president, Brian Morden Foundation.
Rising Star – Sarah Donley, founder, Sarah Donley Sharing is Caring Fund.
Lifetime Achievement -?Alice Lawrence.
