Roaring Spring library sets activities
ROARING SPRING -?The Roaring Spring Community Library has announced activities for April.
Library hours and book donation hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The library is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Visit www.roaringspringlibrary.org and select the “About” tab and select calendar for events. At the website, you can also sign up for “Booked in the Inn,” the library’s monthly e-newsletter.

National Library Week
The theme for this year’s National Library Week is “Lives Change at Your Library.” Programs include:
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 14 -?”Nooks and Kindles Oh My!” with Miss Amy, digital librarian. Bring a brown bag lunch; beverage provided. Call to register.
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 15 – “Library Brownies with the Boards” Meet the library and Friends board members and have a brownie treat.
April 16 -?Volunteer Appreciation Day.
April 17 – Customer Appreciation Day. Visitors will enjoy light refreshments and a free DVD rental.
All week -?Food for Fines. Help restock the Roaring Spring Food Pantry with nonperishable food Items. Up to five items will be accepted per account for fine forgiveness at $1 per item.
6 p.m. every Wednesday -?Library Knitting and Crochet Group
11:30 a.m. April 9 -?Home Nursing Agency blood pressure screening.
April 26 -?Garver YMCA Healthy Kids Day. Stop by the library table for crafts and lots of fun giveaways.
10:30 to 11 a.m. April 7, 14, 21 and 28 – World of Animals. Learn about farm, jungle, water and woodland animals with Miss Paula.
10 a.m. April 10 -?Intermediate Unit 8 Duncansville visits the library.
11 a.m. April 29 – Trinity Tot Spot visits the library. This story time is also open to the public. Children ages 3 to 5 and their adults are invited to attend this session.
April 23 – Outreach to Garver YMCA at 9.m., outreach to Trinity Tot Spot at 9:30 a.m. and outreach to Roaring Spring Head Start at 10:30 a.m.
Friends of the Library
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 – Spring Fling to benefit the Friends will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visit 25 vendors showcasing a variety of items including clothing, jewelry, beauty products, candles and home decor. Food will be available for purchase.
6 p.m. May 21 -?Friends meeting.
