Hollidaysburg offers summer fun

HOLLIDAYSBURG The Borough of Hollidaysburg has announced several events for the summer.

The first Downtown LIVE! Free Summer Concert will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday on the Diamond in downtown Hollidaysburg. The House Band will perform. Local businesses will stay open late for shopping, food and fun. The next concert is on July 18 with Half Tempted, followed by Shallow 9 on Aug. 15, Felix and the Hurricanes on Sept. 5 and Flight 19 on Sept. 19. The sixth annual Sloppy Socks Off-Road 5K will be held July 13 at Legion Park. Start time is 8:30 a.m. Register online at www.hollidaysburg.org, pick up a registration form at the Hollidaysburg Municipal Building at 401 Blair St., or register on the morning of the race beginning at 7:30 a.m. From the second week of July through early October, the Hollidaysburg Farm & Craft Market will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m.. to 2 p.m. Fridays on Montgomery Street, next to the Diamond. The Allegheny Street Cruise-In that was rained out in May has been rescheduled for Sept. 14.
