CLP announces opening of new play

Cresson Lake Playhouse is opening the 2019 season with “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” a witty musical revue that tackles modern love in all its forms.

Set in the modern world and told in a series of vignettes and songs, this hilarious musical traces the overall arc of relationships throughout the course of a life. From dating and waiting for love and marriage to in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set.

With situations, songs,and conversations that everyone can relate to, this comedic revue will have audience members shouting, “This is my life!”

“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” contains mature humor and adult content.

The show is directed by Gina Volpe and the music is directed by Mariah Duman. They are joined by veteran actors Scott Getz (Daddy Warbucks in last season’s “Annie”), Megan Marcaurelle-Jones (Belle in 2017’s “Beauty and the Beast”), Josh Duman (Jason in last season’s “Ordinary Days”) and Gabbi Lechak (Percy in 2016’s “The Spitfire Grill”).

Performances for the general public will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 28 through June 1 and 2 p.m. June 2.
