March on the Mountain set

The public is invited to join the Saint Francis University community and Bishop Mark Bartchak for the sixth annual March on the Mountain on Jan. 22.

Participants will unite in prayer and to proclaim the sanctity of human life with Pro-Life advocates around the country on the 46th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited prior to the March in the Immaculate Conception Chapel, located on the Loretto campus, beginning at 10:30 a.m. This will be followed by several guest speakers.

The March itself will begin with a short prayer at 11 a.m. in front of the Chapel. The walk will then commence around the mall in the center of campus and will conclude at approximately 11:55 a.m. for those who wish to attend the noon Mass. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held after the Mass until

4 p.m.

The public is invited to show support by either walking the entire route or just a few minutes.

Some signs will be provided, but those participating are invited to bring their own.
