The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown will host its annual Faith Day celebration on Sunday at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, Tipton. Bishop Mark Bartchak will celebrate Mass on the park stage at 3 p.m. Priests of the diocese will concelebrate.

The Liturgy will begin with a Family Faith Procession, which will include representatives from parishes throughout the diocese. A picnic supper will follow the Mass.

Faith Day is an opportunity for all Catholics throughout the eight-county diocese to celebrate their faith and unity in a fun and relaxed environment.

Temple Beth Israel, 3004 Union Ave., Altoona, will holds its “Temple Treasures” rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 28, June 29 and July 1. Items available include a large selection of clothing and accessories, household goods, small appliances, books, toys and artwork. July 1 is $5 bag day.

Cash only. No early birds. Rain or shine. Street parking is available; enter in back of building from Furnace Road.

Faith United Church of Christ, 711 Seventh Ave., will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Hot dogs, ox roast sandwiches, soups and baked goods will also be sold. Take out is available.

Lil’ Rev will perform at 7 p.m. July 8 at Temple Beth Israel, 3004 Union Ave., Altoona. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online or at the door.

Multi-instrumentalist Lil’ Rev will feature roots, folk, Yiddish and Tin Pan Alley music. A world-class entertainer and steward of vintage song and lore, Lil’ Rev performs with the ukulele, harmonica, mandolin, guitar and banjo, Lil’ Rev has a repertoire of both traditional and original song, poetry, storytelling and humor.

Both entertainer and educator, Lil’ Rev is renowned as one of the preeminent ukulele instructors and performers in the nation, with seven instructional books in print.

Grace Lutheran Church, 1114 N. Cambria St., Bellwood, has changed to summer hours, which will be in effect until Sept. 9. Worship services begin at 8 a.m. There will be no Sunday school during the summer.

Grace’s free clothes closet will open in July.

The sixth Novena of 2018 of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Therese (the Little Flower) offered by the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Loretto will open today and end on June 30. All intentions submitted to the nuns will be remembered with the special Novena prayers following the daily Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the nun’s chapel.

Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament is held at 4 p.m. every Sunday and the first Friday of each month. All are welcome to attend the Benediction followed by the veneration of the relic of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face.

Outdoor Sunday Mass will be held at 7 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 2 at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Alleghenies in Loretto. Those attending should bring a lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, the Mass will be celebrated in the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel.
