Kistler, Calder to speak during Bible conference

‘Knowing What We Believe and Why’ chosen as theme

The 97th Annual Central Pennsylvania Bible Conference will be held July 30-Aug. 4.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. July 30 at the Faith Baptist Church of Altoona, 315 40th St., and at 4 and 7 p.m. July 31 through Aug. 4 at The Casino in Lakemont Park. Dinner will be provided at 5:30 p.m. for those who attend the conference sessions.

Evangelists Dave Kistler and Dr. Wendell Calder will speak on the theme “Knowing What We Believe and Why.”

Sunny Abraham, with the Way of Truth Ministries in Kochin, India, will be the missionary guest.

Special music will be provided by Betsy Kistler, The Keystone State Quartet, Karen Knight, Kera O’Bryon and Nathan Kistler.

Jim O’Bryon, who served at the Pentagon for 15 years as deputy assistant secretary of defense, will be the conference leader.

A Youth Rally will be held each evening at 7 p.m. in the Soho Room at The Casino, with Dr. Jared Bowling of Generation Next Ministries.

Children’s ministry for ages 6-12 will be conducted each evening by Maggie Smith. There will be child care for infants to age 5.

A men’s breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Aug. 1 at The Casino with O’Bryon, who will speak on “Living What You Believe and Daily Life.”

A ladies brunch will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 3 at The Casino with speaker Karen Knight on “Courageous & Contagious Women of God.”
