Trinity Lutheran hosts Spring Fling
Road closed for old-fashioned street fair events
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 408 N. Sixth St., will host its 10th annual Spring Fling from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event, which includes food, games, entertainment and a petting zoo, has been planned by the committees of the church as a way of reaching out to residents of Juniata and the region.
North Sixth Street will be closed between North Fourth and Fifth avenues so attendees can have safe access to the old-fashioned street fair.
A food court in the church basement will feature hot dogs, sloppy joes, barbecue beef sandwiches, ham salad, meatball sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad and pasta salad, along with other items prepared by members of the church. The food, including all sandwiches, will be 25 cents per item.
Homemade baked goods, ice cream sundaes and popcorn will also be available along with soda and water.
A wide variety of children’s games and activities will be set up in the church parking lot along with the petting zoo.
Entertainment will be provided by the Gospel Sounds Duet, a southern gospel group, the Heirsmen and Hands in Motion.
The Altoona City Police will be present along with Logan Township’s very own Bobcat.
