Gallagher to open show for Womack at IUP in April
INDIANA — Cresson native and “The Voice” finalist Josh Gallagher will open for country music singer and songwriter Lee Ann Womack at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in a concert scheduled for April 20.
Gallagher and Womack will take the Toretti Auditorium stage at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Womack is perhaps best known for her 2000 single, “I Hope You Dance,” which was a major crossover hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart and the Top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Since placing fourth on “The Voice” in December, Gallagher continued playing gigs around Nashville, where he has lived for three years, as well as concerts in Central Pennsylvania.
He also has been in the studio working on his debut album. He already has released three songs on iTunes, “Pick Any Small Town” – which he debuted on “The Voice” — “We Always Had” and “Ain’t No Angels.”
