UNIVERSITY PARK – The Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State University is bringing in Grammy-nominated comedian Jim Gaffigan for a performance on April 8.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets range from $35.75 to $69.75 and can be purchased in person at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, online at www.ticket master.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

The multi-talented Gaffigan has his own semi-fictitious television show on TV Land, in addition to his stand-up comedy gig and best-selling books, according to a BJC press release. He also has guest-starred on TV comedies and dramas, ranging from “Portlandia” to HBO’s “Flight of the Concords” and to all three versions of “Law & Order.”

Big screen credits include “Three Kings,” “Hot Pursuit” and “17 Again,” as well as the 2015 drama, “Experimenter,” co-starring Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder. His next film release will be opposite Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Ron Perlman and Elisabeth Moss in “The Bleeder.”

Gaffigan’s first-ever performance at the BJC is part of his current world tour called “Contagious.”
