Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clapper of Hollidaysburg are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today.

They were married on Sept. 16, 1978, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, by Father Edward Eckenrod.

Mrs. Clapper is the former Becky Warner.

The couple have two daughters: Nicole Clapper (Brian Bettwy) of Altoona and Heather Clapper of Hollidaysburg.

They also have one grandson: Hunter Clapper.

Mr. Clapper is retired from Target as building services manager. He is an active member of the Jaffa Shrine Motor Corps.

Mrs. Clapper is retired from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as purchasing manager.
