John Jr. and Christine Dively

Mr. and Mrs. John A. Dively Jr. of Duncansville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 9 at the home of their son and daughter-in-law.

They also took a trip to Cape Cod and Nantucket Island in August.

They were married Sept. 9, 1967, at the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Virginia by the Rev. Henry Amidon.

Mrs. Dively is the former Christine Black.

The couple have one son, Shawn, and his wife, April, of Ohio.

Mr. Dively retired from Hayes, Large Architects, Altoona.

He drives a school bus for Fullington Bus Co. in the Hollidaysburg Area School District.

He is a past master of Portage Masonic Lodge No. 220 of Hollidaysburg, where he served two terms.

He is a member of the Jaffa Shrine, where he is active in the string band.

Mrs. Dively retired from the Blair County Courthouse, Hollidaysburg.

Both are members of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville, where flowers were placed on the altar by Mrs. Dively’s mother, Til Black, in honor of their anniversary.
